What are you getting for mileage?

But unless I'm mistaken, that only applies if you itemize deductions, correct? And I'm guessing that those who are working at 25 cents a mile (not .25 cents a mile, BTW) places aren't making enough to make itemizing worthwhile.

Ours changes every month. Right now it's .34.

  4. Itemizing is worthwhile if you have a house.

Possibly. They bought out the jerk store.

Ours was 30¢ a mile last time I turned in a mileage sheet. Which, if you drive a comfy 14-mpg SUV as I drive on long trips, equals $4.20 per gallon. Since gas is now approaching $3.60, I'm clearing a cool 4.286 fucking pennies per mile.

It's gone up since then ... by three cents.

I've got half a mind to go on a travel strike. If it's out of town, sorry, you jugbutt coaches better call.

I find these threads (which pop up every once in a blue moon) very valuable for the very purpose it served me the first time I posted in one: A lot of people who have been bitching about their rag's mileage rate find out just how good they've got it compared to so many other poor shlubs out there.

Low 20s? Fuck. Can you say phoner?
