West Wing analogy to our election??

It's just a thought I had this morning, maybe because I miss the show. But I do see a possible analogy to the final season of The West Wing in that Obama can be seen as the minority candidate Jimmy Smits' character was, and Biden could be seen as the Leo McGarry veteran type. Alan Alda, an older, veteran senator, could be John McCain. And there we have the election.

Make any sense, or just the ramblings of an old man?

  2. You're exactly right. They based Santos (Smits) on Obama and in a commentary they refer to Vinick (Alda) as "a maverick Republican like John McCain."

Shame it's not on cable anymore.

And thankfully Mad Men has filled my TV fix.

  5. One of the best shows in the history of television, I'd say.
