#Docquaintlogic ... Conservatives would have let women decide if they could vote and businesses would have ended child labor on their own and segregation would have ended if only the Negros would have been patient.

 

How many Japanese "terrorists" did the internment camps prevent? You know, american citizens, but loyal to the Emperor? Does he not study history? That's our country, good or bad, people are entitled to their basic freedoms until proven otherwise.

You want a Police State? Move to Russia, or China, or Singapore.

 

Sounds good in theory but is the dumbest idea I've heard in a long time in reality. So, if Little Johnny feels jaded by American ideals and decides he doesn't like our society and wants to move to, say, Japan, is he going to get swept up in Mohammed who's looking for ISIS recruiters?

Liberals supported suffrage, if you call the Republicans in Congress who overwhelmingly supported the Nineteenth Amendment liberals.

 

You do know that the Republicans were the social liberals back then, don't you? Lincoln, TR, heck, even Chester Arthur fought for civil service reform and civil rights.
