This web site makes me want to kill you, but make it look like a suicide while paying off the police chief to make sure he plays ball.

NEWS: Adam Steele is running to be a state rep this year. NEWS: His campaign prepared and paid for a shitty ad thing on the shitty site. FAIL: He's only the treasurer of his own campaign.

On the web page, about midway down.

I don't know if this guy's serious or not, but there's some definite unintentional humor in this ... thing. Case in point: this filler ad:

ALWAYS SOMEONE IN YOUR WAY? Even here in the remote wilds
of Northern Minnesota? That's the effect of HUMAN
OVERPOPULATION. On a global scale, it's responsible for every one
of our environmental problems from global warming to polluted air and
water to the end of the rain forests and wholesale destruction of species.
And in about 25 years, it will cause mass global starvation which will
reach the U.S. Forget about the dogs and cats; where it's legal,
SPAY OR NEUTER YOUR KID TODAY!
TAKE HEED A public service message of this newspaper. DON'T BREED

I'm wondering if the sorry state of newspapers is starting to tilt editorial boards to do the chambers of commerce bidding. Pretty easy to lean on the ad department and say, you know times are tight, if this tax measure passes the first thing we're going to cut is our ad budget.

I think it's been happening at many small papers already.

If he can't even talk anyone into helping his campaign, why should you vote for him?

it's not unusual at all for a candidate to be listed as their own campaign treasurer on a lower-level election like this.
