The NFL's lockout looks like it could linger for months...the NBA's less-talked-about labor strife will soon be moved to the front burner, pushing the on-the-court action off the radar for months at least...the All-Star Game is weeks away, and interest in MLB is waning, judging by butts-in-seats anyway...so what the heck are sports fans to do? How are you sports editors going to fill your pages? What are producers at the WWL supposed to do with their airtime?

I feel sorry for folks who don't live-and-breathe CFB like us Southerners do!

Looks like NASCAR might be the No. 1 sport in the nation.

I believe this is the lull that gave rise to the much-beloved "Who's Now" segment.

Don't know about the WWL, but a certain company's Podunk Presses have plenty of This-and-That of the Year and Athlete and Coach Q-and-A's to do.

You must not read small papers in Massachusetts. The lockout is almost over. :D

I believe summer is prime teachers doing students season, so that should keep us all pretty busy.

There is always Danica Patrick and the question of if she stays in IndyCar or jumps to NASCAR. Oh the drama! :p

And don't forgot Babe Ruth, American Legion, etc. for baseball. That will sell you some papers.
