    Following his fourteenth birthday in 1941, Ratzinger was enrolled in the Hitler Youth — membership being legally required after December 1939(though 10-20% did disobey the rule) — but was an unenthusiastic member and refused to attend meetings. His father was a bitter enemy of Nazism, believing it conflicted with the Catholic faith.

    The Pope's tacit approval of Nazism aside, the whole protecting rapists thing seems a much larger issue.

    Dear shouldn't we continue to focus on Three Bags visit to New York in December. This could take away valuable planning time and put their visit at risk .

    This Pope is in no way, shape, form or galaxy even close to his predecessor in terms of humanity, accomplishment and start-to-finish character. Hell, if there has been anyone Christ-like on this earth since the man himself, it was JP the 2.
