    If they meant tony, I would suggest they use the derivative spelling of toney. A tony suburb makes me think of Who's The Boss?

    Tony in the sense of hoity-toity, aristocratic or high-toned is a fairly common word. That's the correct spelling and obviously what the writer meant.

    I like picking out SI mistakes as much as anyone, but the tiny-tony-toney thread is embarrassing. Nothing wrong there.
