I think it depends on whether or not Trent Willams (and other O-linemen) play. If so, let them and Cousins play a half. If not, throw McCoy out there with the backup linemen.

Do they have any other options at quarterback?

You're right. I misspoke. The 5 seed scenario is Seattle/GB wins.

Rip that knee up and get 2016 guaranteed, baby!

One highlight of playoff week will be when someone (I'll guess Michael Silver) writes that Shanny could have led the revival of Snyder had gotten out of the way.

How do they determine which teams play on Saturday of Wild Card Weekend and which teams play on Sunday?

Whether it was dumb luck or a calculated move, Shanahan drafting Cousins has saved the Redskins in a very real sense. Good chance that without a young backup, the RG3 injury would have led Washington to depend on a series of overpaid journeymen for the last few years. The jury is still out on Cousins over the long haul, but he was given time to develop and it paid dividends this year with an NFC East title. Where do you think the Redskins would be this year if they were choosing from the Hoyer-Cassell-Weeden bag of shitty veteran QBs this year?

Can't remember exactly how it works, but I think each year either Fox or CBS gets first choice to protect one game for Sunday, then NBC gets the next choice for the Saturday night game.

Fox got the late game last year on Sunday (Detroit at Dallas). If CBS gets to protect, I have to imagine they'll hold on to the No. 3 seed game for Sunday. Best guess at the schedule would be:

Saturday ESPN, early: Wild Card at Houston
Saturday NBC, late: Wild Card at Washington
Sunday FOX, early: Wild Card at Green Bay-Minnesota
Sunday CBS, late: Wild Card at Denver-Cincy
