We don't see the appeal of A Christmas Story

As long as you like endless Law & Order.

I don't get A Christmas Story either. Wish somebody would marathon the Rankin-Bass specials instead.

I like Jean Sheppard (RIP). He's lucky Hef liked him, too, because there aren't enough
White Sox fans who have emerged as legitimate media entities.

But this is one movie that in my mind does NOT increase in charm w/repeated viewings.

This is the most disheartening thread I have ever seen on this board.

I considered some of you friends. Once.

Saw this in the theater as a 10-year-old. Didn't like it then.

'You are all the suckiest bunch of sucks that ever sucked.

I mean, really, people. I'm a Jew who tires of Christmas sometime in mid-November -- you know, six weeks or so after it starts. And I can watch A Christmas Story for 24 hours, 240 hours, 2400 hours, forever. Not just one of the greatest Christmas movies, but one of the greatest movies of all time. Never, and I write this without hyperbole, has "Americana," for lack of a better, less insulting word, been captured more beautifully, more amusingly. It NEVER stops being funny. NEVER. It's too perfect.

And you all suck. I mean, really suck.

    Jesus wept reading this thread.

(And don't forget -- Daddy's gonna kill Ralphie!)

I have no issues with endless L&O, as long as Jack McCoy is on my TV, all is well.

Jesus. Did someone really bitch that ACS is pre-empting a whole day of TBS programming? What, you can't live without your daily two-hour block of "Fresh Prince of Bel-Air" followed by the weekly Thursday night screening of "The Replacements," followed by a watered-down, no-storage-room-rape-scene version of "Shawshank"?

Sorry that TBS' formulaic Christmas programming has interrupted its daily formulaic programming.

Also, smartass, I asked my old man about sticking your tongue to a frozen light pole. He said it's true!
