Not to defend TSA, but what 9-year old has a license or a passport?

 

A 9-year-old led police on a speed chase? Holy cow.

 

Little known fact: Jack Bauer got his start the same way.

 

I'm not going to applaud TSA or the police, but where in the hell are his parents!?! And why, after nearly a handful of stealing cars, is he not in some sort of detention center?

 

I noticed down at the bottom they try to blame it all on a sex offenders. Why are we they so villainized?

 

Children have been required to have passports (or other state-issued photo ID depending on destination) since shortly after 9/11.

 

Only for international travel. If you're younger than, I think, 18, you are not required to have identification other than your boarding pass. (I know this, because I just schlepped three children through security gates around the country over Christmas.)
