Watch for Southern Miss against the first-year NAIA team from Blue Mountain (0-7) on Thursday night ... Blue Mt. is giving up an average of 111.4 points per game and gave up a season-high 141 (!) the other night to Crichton College.

(SoMiss, which won 20 a year ago but had a ghastly RPI, has no business at all playing such a game, by the way.)

You've obviously never met the guy. But keep taking pot shots, prick.
Dude went through a very trying time in which his family wondered whether their young role model would live fron one day to the next. Guy went from JV girls coach to someone who adores the game.
    But hey, go fuck yourself.

This sounds like they run the "hyper run and gun" offense... basically there are enough guys to sub in and out at 3 or 4 minute intervals -- all 5 in, all 5 out -- and they shoot a ton of threes.
Usually a team like this will either win by a score of like 130-123, because they basically can give up layups at the other end of the floor, or they loss by like 40, if they aren't hitting shots.

I know VMI is a D-I school, but here's another school that runs this offense: Grinnell College, a DIII college in Iowa.
www.d3hoops.com... will have the records and the scores from the past five or six seasons. They played on ESPN a couple of years back to showcase this offense.

Another DIII school, Redlands, used to run this offense but got rid of it this season when its longtime coach retired. You can't play more than about 20-22 minutes a game in that style.
