    Sadly it seems Karl's spirit and optimism might not be a match for how draining the treatments are. There have been reports he might not return this year. He had to be rushed to the hospital after developing blood clots as well.

    I liked the Karl piece, but he reaches too much for similies. Jim Murray was great at similies and metaphors. Reilly tries it and falls short.

    Speaking of which, Dennis Miller had a doozy recently. Of a member of Congress, the former SNL guy described the politician as being "as unhinged as the front door of a double-wide during the opening moments of a DEA meth raid."
