Indeed. I almost don't want to answer the original question for fear of trampling on a great joke, but I'll do it anyway ... Russell could run pretty well for a big fat guy, but he was a pure pocket passer all the way in college. He'd run if he had to (and obviously was hard to tackle), but he was much more likely to stand back there and fire laser beams.

I never saw John Elway play in college, but I did see Dan Marino, among others. And I still say Russell had the strongest arm of any college quarterback I ever saw.

What a waste.
