Only if they look like they'll go belly up in two years or less.

Bianchi, of course, did the obligatory Orlando should sign Tebow column.

I like my idea better-- have Orlando sign the entire 2017 UCF team and Birmingham all of 2017 Alabama and play the damn game opening weekend...

Is the XFL really back? Still have a NY-NJ Hitmen tee shirt. Wasn't sure it's the new XFL, taking into account who the OP is.

So he can have four simultaneous employers: the XFL, the New York Mets, ESPN and the GOP.

Five employers. WWE can also sign him as a wrestler. His finishing move would be the Pick-6, in which he puts the guy up in a backbreaker, then kneels down in prayer six times.

I don't know what the endgame would be for McMahon, have the NFL buy it as a developmental league? The main gripe you hear about the NFL is players don't get enough practice time and with injuries, you end up playing subs with minimal reps. A hybrid plan somewhere between the MLS and how the AFL started back in the 60s (without the high-priced signings) might work. Maybe put teams in areas with large military installations, hire a few vets to play.

Your first phrase is another interesting aspect to this. McMahon is 72 years old, and would be 74 when the league begins play. It's not like he's going to live forever, and who knows how much he'll be able to do in the future. Even if he gave up most of the WWE operations to his family, or, as some rumors have said, sold the company, how much time does he have left to see that the league gets on solid footing?

He will almost certainly have to walk back the criminal record prohibition. That’s how these leagues populate their rosters - talented guys with baggage.

That is not the main gripe I hear about the NFL.

Not grateful enough by black athletes to white tradesmen fans.

Will the XFL televise the pre game mandatory prayer? Wil, players will mooslim sounding names be allowed on the field?
