As much as the attitude/impulse to punch is there, I wholeheartedly agree that we have to give those who speak hate the same freedom to speak as anyone else.

In law school, I will never forget Oliver Wendell Holmes' rationale for the freedom of speech, "let the marketplace of ideas decide."

Even as I am in the heart of what is labeled liberalism (near Berkeley, CA), I think its despicable for protesters to stop the appearances of Coulter, Bannon, etc. at the UC Berkeley campus. Its a two way street.

Its not that hard, let them speak, let it fall on deaf ears. Let them and their followers know that what they speak of is unacceptable.
