*Video* - Pride 33 results, action & comments!! JDV and Rok go play-by-play

Ok,

Pride came back to the US in Vegas last weekend & it was an awesome show with a lof of good fights Diaz - Gomi, Shogun, etc.

Of course, the fight of the night was Dan Henderson vs. Wanderlei Silva in an explosive 3 round battle.

These videos have been very well received and should prove entertaining for you. Let us know what you thought of the fight and what is next for these fighters and Pride.

Also, what do you think of the rise of MMA?

Will it overtake boxing or hockey in popularity soon?

Lastly, for those in the know what is your prediction of the UFC bout between Couture and big Tim Silvia?

I hope Couture rocks him - but it is a tough matchup on paper for Randy, but if Tim keeps up his lazy ways?

Yeah, this was fun to do.

The video made the "top 100 sports videos viewed of the day" on Youtube, so that's nice. I didn't know how that stuff works, but JDV told me about it, that it got an honor and what it was.

Yeah Rok was awesome and we had a super clear connection.

Our vid is in the top 100 viewed sports vids in the world!

Pretty cool. I know You Tube is having some problems tracking views real slow right now so who knows how many views we have at this point and it has only been up for a very little time.

It is cool getting the comments from around the globe from fans!

I love how the other options for the best sport/promotion are:

1. The only "major" sport to lose an entire season to a labor strike and whose games can be seen on Versus, a cable channel viewed by eight Canadian immigrants and three shut-ins who lost their remote.

2. A sport so hopeless that Congress may need to step in. Other than Oscar de la Hoya, it has no household names, no buzz and no prospects for the future. I think I might hold a world title belt with all of the alphabet soup federations.

3. Quite possibly the greatest player ever to pick up a racket is in the prime of his career and he could walk through Times Square and not a soul would recognize him.

Tough competition there.

 

Best sport = football, followed closely by soccer

Best promotion = JDV, followed closely by Whitlock

Right, I was comparing lower-tier sports which is where Pride fits in now but is up & coming.

Obviously, it does not beat NFL, NASCAR, MLB, NBA, track & field (globally) or soccer (globally)

The poll is to ask where does MMA fit into the mix - so you need applicable comps.
