I'm going to negotiate exclusive Trader Joe rights for Canada.

The TJ's that I go to is not frequented by yuppies.

BTW, they have the best cornbread mix ever.

The couple Trader Joe's I've been to have been way too crunchy for me -- and dingy, and cramped.

I just don't feel it. I'm willing to give it another try, though.

Now Wegmans, that's like a trip to the amusement park. I'll drive down to Woodbridge on occasion just to go.

One of Obama's earliest out-of-touch moments was his arugula line in Iowa in July 2007.

"Anybody gone into Whole Foods lately and see what they charge for arugula?" the senator said. "I mean, they’re charging a lot of money for this stuff."

  5. Yep, I hate venturing into the TJ's in Foggy Bottom. These are the same tards who are afraid of venturing into their own hood's "Unsafeways" so they'll travel across the District for the same crap.

  6. I wouldn't transit an hour across the city to visit a TJ's and you drive an hour. Christ almighty.

Saying we go just to shop there might be overstating it. Richmond is the nearest "big" city, so there are other reasons to go, even if Trader Joe's is No. 1 on the list. We bring a cooler or two and load up the car. We buy a lot of stuff every time and have never spent more than $200 because the prices are so good. And I've never gotten the yuppie vibe there.

My sister-in-law hates the one near her though. Maybe they aren't all created equal.

I kind of go in spurts on Trader Joe's. Haven't been going in a while. As mentioned, their produce and meat is a bit lacking. I do love their coffee, breads, frozen foods and a lot of their snacks. Their frozen meals may be the best I've ever had.

Magic, just getting to a TJ is bit of a trip for you, isn't it?

I only know of two in the area (one in the western suburbs and one in Ann Arbor).

Aldi is everyone's ugly stepbrother. Although their beer is dirt-cheap in Europe.
