Another example of why Mike Vacarro continues to be the best sports columnist in New York. When was the last time you read a Lupy column telling his readers he was wrong about something?

I'm amazed more writers don't do this ... it's a very easy and smart thing to do and builds good will.

I would have liked it more if he had been contrite and gotten out.

Instead, he just HAD to go all TSP, brown bunny on himself about the Namath parallel he had made.

Couldn't just take his medicine and move on.

I didn't read it all that carefully ... I was just making a general remark in re admitting when you've fucked up. Seems like a very simple technique (if not overdone) in building a bond with your readership.

    I agree with your sentiment.

My feeling as well. Vac has built a bond of trust with his readership.

  7. Tom Coughlin is still a jackass.
    That is all.

I agree with Duane saying it is good to admit you are wrong.

But Vaccaro shouldn't have backended that thing with such self-congratulation.

Yeah, just read it, you're right about that.

I have such trust in him now. Maybe I'll give him the PIN to my ATM card.

A jackass who wisen up enough to get...

    a. Eli to figure out what the fuck he's doing in the playoffs...
    b. Chose not to get into a pissing match with Tiki...
    c. Got Strahan on his side

Yeah, Fen, he's jackass. I spent my school days around hard-ass coaches like Knight and Coughlin. You wouldn't understand.
