The Birdscribe Pipeline has tentacles out on this. More details as they develop.

Tip: If the interview involves playing 18 holes with the prospective bosses, leave the foot wedge at home.

USGA: Nice to have you here
    BS: Thanks
USGA: Do I recognize you from somewhere?
    BS: Do you watch Jeopardy?
    USGA: Yes
BS: I won Jeopardy. I was a Jeopardy champion.
    USGA: Holy cats. You're hired.

Oh, do tell, Junkie. I'm all ears ;)

According to the pipeline, two interviews are already in the books, including one with former Golfweek editor Dave Seanor, who was cashiered for being the architect of the infamous noose cover during the whole Kelly Tilghman/Golf Channel flap.

It pays 100K, who gives a fuck about the cost of living?

You have to wear big-boy underwear at this job, thereby eliminating Junkie.

You know what? I understand the question, particularly for somebody relatively new in the business currently making $35K.

But for the kind of people they'd be looking for, people who are likely older, who have a certain way of living, who have kids in college, who maybe have other financial or credit issue or homes they can't sell, $100K in a high-cost-of-living area is likely going to be a problem for some.

    Sounds weird, but it's true.

    Very well put, SF.

    And so true.

Dave Seanor would be a great hire. The man is good at what he does. He only made one bad decision, unfortunately a really bad one.
