    Buffalo and Temple are 1-2, if you're standing on your head.

    ND: True freshman QB
    Boise State: First-time starting QB
    Florida: First-time starting QB.
    LSU: New starting QB


    Be tough to duplicate this year's accomplishments

    Pardon, but did you just use high school recruiting rankings -- before signing day, at that -- as a justification for complaining about a college football 8-months-early poll ?

    Yeah, seriously, it was. Believe me, I love me some Gamecocks, but they got an awful lot of tough road games this year in the SEC. Hey, I'm happy with being in the middle of the pack in the SEC. I remember 0-11 far too well.

    Louisville deserves higher than No. 25, though I think that was picked because of all the uncertainty surrounding the program at the time. Still, I think Mark is way off saying Douglas, Urrutia and Malik Jackson are bolting for the draft. The Cards are deeper than he realizes.
