    Why not invite Pierce to write? Why not write for Grantland once invited?

    My larger point is that it is unwise to become emotionally invested to any degree in such "feuds." It may mean more to the observers than it means to the combatants.

    I don't think 'feuds' of this kind (literary) have ever meant much of anything to anyone - especially the participants.

    Twitter just allows them to be played out partially in public.

    Well, don't look at me for that answer, or as a member of that society. I think he's gone off the deep end.

    Although I agree with his take on this particular issue.
