Here is a picture taken right at point of the snapping of the leg. Pretty unbelievable and painful...

    It's a state school.

The Marshall incident was bad, but I was watching a highlight from the Cincinnati game last night where a receiver caught a pass in the end zone (he was ruled out of bounds), then took two steps before tumbling headfirst into the stands, injuring a boy. Now, seriously, which is worse? A guy failing to move a cart and a player running into it (1-5 percent chance) or a design flaw of the fucking stadium? Too many stadiums and ball parks are putting the fans too damn close to the field, putting the players at risk of these types of incidents.

Yeah, and the Cincinnati player hugged the boy, who was crying. That was a nice gesture. The Cincinnati player would have crashed into a wall, but we went right through a little opening in the brick.

The kid also scored an interview by Erin Andrews.

Classy move by the UC player to console the kid.

The UGA attacking the Auburn receiver is one of my favorite sports photos ever.

I'd rather have a hug from, and be consoled by, Erin Andrews.

They should have moved the kid at the Cincy/S.Florida game. But it does kind of underscore the point that Marshall is not alone in this problem.

Of course the Marshall problem was completely avoidable if the dumbshits in the band had moved their fucking wagons.

They did. The guy on the right moved them back. It took 26 years, but he finally got his revenge.

DUMBASS COMMENT FROM THE CHRONICLE STORY:
Ugh. "Well, it never bothered anybody before...". Jerkoff.

And in defense of the Cincinnati situation, there are normally metal gates across the open areas of the wall in Nippert Stadium. Not sure why the gate wasn't there at that point. The hug by the UC player, Mardy Gilyard, and checking on the kid was a very classy move.
