    Ultra-left Joe Klein? The author of Primary Colors? Huh? I think Time is really trying to be provocative and be more issue oriented with more opinion left and right. Supposedly their circ is down more than 15 percent in the last year.

    Absolutely no reason why Graham's body couldn't have been shadowed behind T I M E. Time mag does it for other figures, and like someone else said, many people likely saw the cover before publication. That's most likely an inside joke on Time's part. If they were worried about the expression on his face being covered, then proportionally shrink his body a tad.
