    Chipper liner.

Guy leaves second, steps on bag. Guy had been running from first, Rockies rookie tags him.

Two on, no out, runners take off on the pitch.

Liner to short, step on second, tag the runner. 1-2-3.

And, of course, you know who's leading off for Colorado next inning...

12th regular-season UTP in major league history.

Braves were involved in the last one, believe it or not. Aug. 10, 2003: Rafael Furcal turned one against the Cardinals.

Another interesting fact: Chipper Jones has lined into a triple play before. June 15, 1996, against the Dodgers.

Chipper also started one (5-4-3 with Quilvio Veras and Galarraga) against the Marlins on May 11, 2000.

AP story says 13th. I don't doubt you, but if you're certain you're right, you may want to let the AP know.

I'm using Retrosheet, they're using Elias. Elias is official.

Incidentally, Retrosheet is only updated through July 2006. If there was one late last summer, then they won't have it.

But they might be counting the Wambsganss triple play in the 1920 World Series. That makes it 13 overall, but only 12 in the regular season.

Who could ever forget the Wambsganss triple play? Coupla fellers were rehashing that in the diner today, I tell you what.

BTW, buck, did you ever find out if Drew is the only player to be part of a back-to-back-to-back-to-back homer barrage?

Kinda cool to look in the boxscore and see two or three names under DP.

And then just one name under TP.

Mickey Morandini's was pretty nice too. I miss those days with the Phillies. :'(
