In the words of Hawk Harrelson:

He gone! (by the end of next week).

I want to know ... just how does holding her drawers in his mitts allow him to help her get home?
Except maybe make him drive faster to get to her place so he can, perhaps, allow her to put them back on.
What, you say? That wasn't part of the deal?

The trooper who made the traffic stop and wrote the report (one of the better written ones I've seen among incident reports) is a member of the Nighthawks, an anti-DUI unit.
Looks like he earned his money that night.

Honestly, can't fault him. You never know. Cop might be a diehard UGA fan willing to look the other way.

Then again, we all know cops are never corrupt, right?

There are some ADs in the south who would have gotten a police escort home after an incident like this.

    Apparently, a fait accompli:

$550k a year, flushed for three vodkas and givin' a friend a ride home.

The AJC is reporting that a TV station is reporting that Evans is gone.

    That's just embarrassing.

This is the funniest thing I have read this year:
When the state trooper who pulled them over asked Evans why he had a pair of red panties between his legs, Evans replied: "She took them off and I held them because I was just trying to get her home," the trooper's report states.

    Don't forget that panties thingy...

OK, if the details of the incident are identical, except Vince Dooley was driving, back when he was AD. How, if at all, is this treated differently? Does it ever make the papers? Is an arrest made?

Your point is taken, but I'll note for the record that said TV station is part of the same media family.

And a lot of times, that doesn't matter. The Daily Camera and Denver Post are part of the same media family an the Camera routinely broke more news on the Colorado-to-the-Pac-10 story, and the Post quoted the Camera as reporting developments a lot.

Announcement tomorrow is what the word is from a media friend over there. 100K to settle contract and three months additional salary as lovely parting gifts. Mrs. Evans has reportedly left the state.
