    some intrepid reporter should find out if UConn plans to honor Cochran by keeping him on full scholarship for his entire undergraduate career

    I would suspect he will, he just gets a medical and it doesn't count against their 85 limit. Pretty standard procedure for career-ending injuries.

    Karma hits the 2nd generation. Casey Cochran is the son of former
    CT HS coach Jack Cochran. Cochran was known for running up
    scores on his opponents so badly that state athletic association put in a
    rule that any coach who won by more than a 50 point margin would be suspended
    the following week unless their were extenuating circumstances. It's known as
    "The Cochran Rule"
