UCONN cornerback stabbed to death early this morning

    Corky is right, as is A_QB. The most happening spot in town is probably the UConn creamery. Storrs is a pretty quiet town, as college towns go.

    I think UConn has become a great university, world class...

    But I think about some incidents there in recent years.

    Men's basketball players steal from women's basketball players.

    Women's basketball team involved in fight in which a bottle is broken over one of the players' heads?? (Can't remember the exact details of that one, but I think it also involved a member of the football team.)

    A drugging and sexual assault involving the university spokesman's son ??

    One of my neighbors has a daughter who just started there. My stomach is turning FOR her!

    That's what happens when Cow Town U. sells its soul for athletic glory.

    Moose, I never saw that in Edsall at all. There's no script in handling a serious tragic situation.

    Read Jeff Jacobs' column in the Courant today.

    Edsall said it better: "Identifying a body isn't in the job description" (paraphrasing).
