He might do well at Montana. Or Idaho.

Ty needs to go to a school that doesn't have any tradition to speak of and really doesn't care much about football.

    Does Rutgers have a coach?

Given Willingham's record, I don't think his next stop is a head coaching gig.

As I was typing that I thought of two schools, Syracuse and Duke.

Gonna just piss into the wind here, but any chance Major Applewhite would get a look here?

I love that guy. Course I like Willingham too, so there ya go.

Just to throw a name out (and I really don't think he'd touch it, for the record), Chris Petersen from Boise State.

You know Petersen's name will likely be floated about for all these sorts of hirings. In this case, though, it makes more sense given that he's already in the region.

He has been one of the names mentioned along with Dan Hawkins, Gary Pinkel, Lane Kiffin and a few others. If I had a vote I would go for Kiffin, he obviously can recruit well, he is a pretty good x's and o's coach, at least on the offensive side and he will probably be a person the boosters will like.

With Kiffin, I would want to see how he does in a situation that is neither loaded beyond human comprehension (USC) nor as hopeless beyond human despair (Oakland) before I handed him a job.

If I had a vote, I would back up the truck for Pat Hill.

Hill would be a great choice. It seems like he loves the Fresno gig though.
