    Good stuff, and again, the NCAA falls short. They couldn't check his eligibility, or just give him a friggin waiver?

    It's the same NCAA that's still investigating Miami ... next you'll want them to walk and chew gum at the same time.

    Best anecdote was that he last played (junior) college football the year before the moon landing.

    One very small quibble in an otherwise great story. There is no Jones Community College in Mississippi. Jones County is one of the few two-year schools left that still prefers to call itself a junior college. They like the alliteration of their initials being JCJC.
