I have yet to discover Twitter. Can't imagine anyone out there is more interesting than myself.

How does twitter work when you "follow" / Does it come up as text message on phone?

Doyel is a must. His tweets upon learning that Mariotti got arrested was a classic.

@Cockdian. Twitter is the medium in which his stylings are downright conventional.

I have long professed my hatred for Twitter. But reading some of these lists, it's tempting.

How do you follow so many people at once? I mean, unless I'm logged on 24/7 I'm going to miss 99 per cent of it - or am I not using Twitter correctly?

At the moment I've curated a list of everyone I can find in my city who's on Twitter - about 360 out of the 60,000 residents - but only follow 70 or so.

Agreed. I also follow Eddie Izzard and John Cleese. :D

    I follow:
billprady (producer of the Big Bang Theory. He posts a lot of pictures)
    wilw (Wil Wheaton), kunalnayyar, simonhelberg
iharryshum, chordoverstreet, msleamichele, frankenteen (Cory Monteith), chriscolfer from Glee (they also post a lot of on-set pictures)
Lord_Voldemort7 and DarthVader (both absolutely HILARIOUS twitters)
    espn4D (Pat Forde)
    TWCBreaking (breaking Weather Channel news)
OHNewsroom (Overheard in the Newsroom...basically the same feed as the one on Facebook)
    AP_Top25

You can set them to either text your phone when they post, or you can keep up through the site. There are also several apps you can download through your phone (I personally use TweetDeck) to keep up through the day. You can also set lists so it'll filter which users you see for easier browsing.
