Now we can finish up the other eight episodes of Lost.

  2. You're thinking of South Park.

Well, South Park did make the joke about Family Guy, so I suppose we're both half-right.

Are you two thinking about using a picture of Muhammad in your newspapers?

Getting closer. The studio lawyers are still trying to backtrack on some of the agreements that were made -- upholding a long tradition of claiming, "we never said that," etc., etc. -- but while the deal wouldn't be officially approved for another couple of weeks, there's a decent chance the restraining order authorizing the strike might be lifted as early as Monday.

This from a friend who's been walking the picket line out west.

For further updates, y'all might want to keep an eye on this site.

If that thing ends, I'll be glad just because I'm sick to death of hearing about it. I'm almost as allergic to this strike as I am to politics.

Not that the strike changed my television viewing habits in any way. You can't get less than zero.

It just starts to irritate me a bit because of the low-quality crap that's starting to infiltrate TV.

I can deal with a seventh hour of "Deal or No Deal." I'm a big fan of "American Gladiators." An extra season of "Survivor"? Fine with me. But now that we're getting to this "My Dad Is Better Than Your Dad" stuff, where nothing but humiliation will ensue, it's getting tiresome.
