TV alert: My Boys 2009 season premiere

    I love Jim Gaffigan's standup, but I haven't been able to sit through more than 10 minutes of that show.

    I don't watch it. I just look at all the other crap on the viewing guide and figure there's gotta be worse stuff out there than "My Boys" that has just as good a chance to survive, if not better. But hey, if I'm wrong, I'm wrong.

    I sit through a lot of bad TV, and like some of it, as others will attest. ;)

    This show is on another plateau.

    I, too, love Jim Gaffigan (seeing him in NOLA next month), but he had far better material in "Ed" and did far better with it.

    How realistic is the portrayal? Is she taking 10 days' worth of furlough time?
