All: This is hopefull a quick thread that will then sink out of sight.

Anybody know what happened to a Tampa Bay area sports and bureau guy named Mike O'Keefe? He was sports editor at the Clearwater Sun, then wound up at the Tribune.

It has been more than 20 years since I spoke with him. I wondered if he was still around and if anybody knew where.

Mike works at St. Petersburg College, where he is Alumni Association Executive Director, Director of Institutional Advancement. Go to the school's Web site for his phone number -- http://www.spcollege.edu/central/alumni/contacts.htm

Anyone know what became of Grant Rice. He and I went to Vandy together then went to work for The Tennessean . I went in the army and lost track of Grant.

I think he trained horses, or horsemen or something.

No, it was only three. I think Rice wrote that they were Snap, Crackle and Pop.

Hey, I ask the question, and then I don't come back for several days for the answer.

Thanks very much for the info, bdangelo.

Alas, the e-mail to his address came back as a failure, so not sure what's up.
