    Duvall was a bad guy in the original, but Jeff Corey played the bad guy, Tom Chaney. Corey had bit parts in a ton of movies and TV shows over the years, but is probably most famous for his appearance before the House Un-American Activities Committee in the 50s.

    Yeah. Got me on that. One thing about him is he does not make a very scary bad guy.

    I was leary when I heard they made a new one because the John Wayne one is so good and I'm a John Wayne fan. However, after seeing a couple trailers, I want to see it.
    And I'm very glad they didn't go in for any CGI or 3-D. Just give me a good story with good acting, please. If you can do that and add in 3-D or a little CGI, great. Otherwise, the added stuff is just overcompensation.
