Top athlete/memory of London Olympics

    Ooh, good one. I hadn't thought of that, but it wouldn't surprise me in the least now that you mention it. They could fill an issues with features on the gymnasts, female athletes from Muslim countries, U.S. women's track dominance in London, the soccer team ... Yes, I could see them doing that. Heck, they did a Title IX issue this year.

    Still think it will be LeBron, but this one wouldn't shock me.

    Isn't this one of the ones that fans vote on? If so, I find it hard for an option that includes "The Female Athlete." To me, picking groups or teams for a single award is a cop out and I know I am not alone on that.

    I don't think "fans" vote for SI's Sportsman of the Year. As far as I know that's an editorial decision.
