Moonlighting really was a good show.

It was one of the best, but it hit the wall in a way few shows have. It went from great to shit almost overnight.

My brother had the album. "Jackpot" wasn't a bad tune at all.

    Jack Bauer (Kiefer Sutherland, 24)
    Jack Shepard (Matthew Fox, Lost)
Capt. Benjamin Sisko or Hawk (pretty much any Avery Brooks character)
President David Palmer (Dennis Haysbert, 24)

Good calls on Jack Bauer and David Addison, who have been added to my list.

    David Addison Jr. - Awesome.
Which reminds me: Hawkeye Pierce. I still use several of his quotes from MASH (yes, I'm that much a looser).

I was going to throw Hawkeye on mine, but he was clearly one messed-up dude.

And though he isn't a TV character - who wouldn't want to be Thomas Crowne? I actually thought the Pierce Brosnan take was cooler than the Steve McQueen version, mainly because I prefer Renee Russo over Faye Dunaway.
Hell, you look at the list of his leading ladies and Brosnan is Ruthian in his slugging percentage.

    See "Northern Exposure."

Took most of its first season to find its bearings, but for most of the next four seasons it was terrific.

Then the producers overreacted to the possibility of Joel (Rob Morrow) leaving, and instead of logically writing him out permanently, fucked it up with goofy substitute characters (Mike the Bubble Boy, the insufferable Capras) and Joel's "he's gone-no-he's not" reappearances.
