Hmm ... Fred Savage was playing a video game about baseball in Princess Bride. Maybe we should include that in the top 10 movies about baseball.

Dead on. That was definitely worthy of this list.

I also have a sleeper, a 1973 TV movie with Gary Busey as a HS quarterback and Larry Hagman as his hard-ass Texas coach ... "Blood Sport."

Um, I've never even heard of No. 1.

Holy shit is that a horrible list. How does Brian's Song not make the top 5?

It's personally not my favorite, but many people would put Rudy up there. It has to at least crack the top 10. How about Jerry Maguire? What about older movies... Knute Rockne, All American? Horse Feathers? Certainly honorable mention status for Heaven Can Wait or Black Sunday over Wildcats, which should be on the "Films That Fumbled" list.

Holy shit. I am a moron. My reading comprehension skills need some serious help. I am really embarrassed by this one.

Which brings up the point, Doc, that the list is probably somewhat unnecessarily specific. But I guess if you're playing to a high school football-crazed audience, it makes a certain amount of sense.

Any time the tyrant authority figure gets punked, I'm down.

Not a good movie, but hey, I'll make allowances.

They shoulda decapitated the head of the Coach Kilmer statue ...

It's like D-Day said in Animal House, don't get mad, get even.

(I like Jon Voight as the villain.)

    Varsity Blues Two, perhaps?
