Toni Morrison's "Beloved" pulled from class because of racism

    It isn't unreadable.

    I'm not a huge fan of this book, but let's not focus on that. It has artistic merit.

    Yeah, as long it's white people having the sex, it's okay with those parents. What's really funny is reading the comments section.

    Unbelievable comments at the end of that story, including the one parent who called them the liberal nazi machine. Wow.

    Are these among the parents that want classes on the Bible in school? Because there's shit in there 1,000 times worse than anything in "Beloved." That's why I agreed to raise my kids Catholic -- nobody's reading the Bible there!

    I didn't care for the book personally.

    But the principal is a weenie.

    Agree with you Ace. Not one of my favorites, but ultimately it's not about whether it's a good book or not.

    The principal is an attention whore, nothing more.

    And Bubbler, I'm not surprised about Eastern. All it is is a safety school for kids who can't get into Ballard, Male or Manual.
