Jerry Moore has had chances to leave, long before the national titles, and never did. Always got the feeling he liked the job security and ability to have somewhat of a life (He's been in Bobby Bowden-mode for years, letting the assistants do the heavy lifting while he "motivates and inspires").

Clemson will go through half-a-dozen names and get turned down by all of them. Butch Davis will be linked, as will Tuberville. Bobby Johnson is a Chuck Neinas-ite, and I haven't heard the Tigers are going the Neinas route. Maybe Rich Brooks. Maybe Lane Kiffin.

Not even sure why but when I see this thread heading pop up I think of that Saturday Night Live skit where Ted Koppel comes on over and over to report that Buckwheat has been shot.

Anyhow thanks for listening .Carry on.

Buckwheat shot reference: outstanding. Three words: John David Stutts.

Do you think he killed Buckwheat?

Oh yeah ... it's all he ever talked about ...

Joker Phillips is the specifically designated heir apparent at Kentucky.
And, no, Clemson isn't going to hire a black guy. Especially if Obama wins the White House.

Newbie, you haven't read anything yet that would trump this for WTF of the year. Oh, Boom just called. He wants his six-pack of beer, pronto. ;D

BTW, there was another mid-season whacking of a pro or college coach. Division II Upper Iowa fired Mike Knoll:

Everyone in the Iowa Conference is laughing at the Peacocks' ass and deservedly so. Dumb asses should have never moved up from D-III to D-II. You can't fucking recruit kids to Fayette, Iowa. They're probably the only town in America that doesn't have a high school in town, but do have a college. Gutless Wonders!

After tonight's performance, is there anyway the other team in Forde's previously referenced piece follows suit? Or do they need to get shellacked in the Iron Bowl for that to happen?

There's no high school in Fayette? Where do the kids go to school?

And the folks at Auburn are out of their fucking minds if they kick Tuberville to the curb.

Armchair, the kids go to West Union to the consolidated high school: North Fayette-West Union.
