I'm not in the business...simply a lurker/sometime poster that just thinks this is a fun web site to read. But, I'm sorry, no one should have to put up with that. Just ridiculous.

 

People this detached from reality and upset are the easiest to ignore, IMO. The thoughtful ones get you think twice about how you approach stories, etc.

Not sure. The reporter is a cops and courts guy. So it could have been anything.

Oddly, I find out the paper decided it would be cute to post that phone call mp3 on its website front page. Very bad form, IMO, of the paper to do that.

 

I know that lady. Her kid is on the golf team, and even though he's not in the scoring six, he works just as hard as everyone else, and he deserves to get his pitcher in the paper.

 

So the woman uses "bullshit" and "shit" but can't make the leap from "frigging" to "fucking". haha, I love it.

She sounds EXACTLY like Wendy.

 

Naw, she's a swim parent, definitely a swim parent.

 

No way is that a golf

No way is she a golf or swim parent. That was way too tame for either of those.
That was more funny than vicious.

 

The reporter is COPS and COURTS, not sports.

Romenesko has picked it up, now. I still think it's really bad form for the paper to put that call on its website.
