I find this interesting. You may or may not. But while wandering around the Internet, I discovered that back in 1930, this was the entire newscast on BBC Radio on Good Friday. The rest of the program was replaced with piano music.

I suppose all the businesses were closed for the day, so the reporters took the day off, too. And I guess no one had developed enterprise reporting yet.

Really hoping Katie Couric will come on tonight, wish everyone a good evening and then make this statement.

I don't know about Good Friday, but this could go for many news outlets on Christmas. There really is nothing of note except a couple of basketball games happening on Christmas.

Christmas reminds me of one year, where our EE had this mantra that most of the front page had to be local sports with local art. Sounded nice and all, even though we had job cutbacks.

But then the editor got all upset when we only had one local story on the front for Dec. 26, plus wire. He couldn't fathom that there was nothing going on in the local sports world on Christmas Day, leaving the rest of us shaking our heads.

Tomorrow is Good Saturday. And Easter Sunday comes afterward.

That's one of many good reasons why I don't regret going news side.
