    I don’t get the fascination with Macur.
    Her stories read like they’re from AP. They’re dry and lacking in color and emotion. She might get people to talk, but she writes once a month at most. I think any of us could get people to talk and produce compelling features if we were given weeks to work on a piece.
    And she’s a whining diva.
    Crouse should be a columnist again.

    You thought her story on the anorexic runner that ran in BASW was dry and lacking in emotion? What about her feature on Joel Buschbaum?

    As far as being a diva, I don't know if she is or isn't, but most of the diva-like behavior I see in this business comes from the men...

    That Buchsbaum piece was first-rate, one not talked about enough.

    Conde Nast has never been shy about hiring gays, and there's probably more diversity in that chain than anywhere else in the magazine industry.
