I'm drunk enough to post this completely self-indulgent announcement.

I'll finish with my MBA in December, and this week I accepted a job in commercial lending starting in January with one of the top 10 largest banks in the country. It's been quite a departure from sportswriting, and I'm looking forward to starting a new career. I'm going to put some money on the street.

I have 4 years and 9 months left on my mortgage.

I do not want to refinance.

I do not want "cash out" to pay other debts . . . because I have no other debts.

So in January, DO NOT CALL ME and try to loan me money . . . like 23,458 of your future collegues have done.

    Sopranos lingo.

Shy: the interest charged on loans by loansharks.

Shylock business: the business of loansharking.

And I won't be contacting anyone about a mortgage or a retail loan. I'll just be lending money to bidnesses.
