Saw Mott back when.

Mott is such a great album. All the Young Dudes not far behind. Everything after (Ariel Bender-era), barely passable, tho I liked the live Broadway album. Brain Capers, etc. a little goes a long way. First solo Ian Hunter is the great lost Mott album.

There are several bands/artists in the Hall who never made an album that compared with Mott. Or Forever Changes.

It's amazing how many people really think this is true. Stunning.

 

And it's really unfair, because Abacab was such a good debut album.

 

I'm just glad Phil Collins started a band after his solo career blew up.
