My first winter working in downtown Vancouver I went to the office in the dark and the rain, and I went home in the dark and the rain. Shitty practicum type year, it was like B roll from Blade Runner.

In other words, a typical PNW winter.

    7:45 p.m.
I was outside having a blast in the daylight.
I fail to see a down side.

I covered the KHL during a lockout. Nine time zones and way too many teams with the same names.

If you’re on the western end of a time come your kids are still getting on the bus in the dark, especially if they have to be there at 7. And any kids who stay after school are coming home in the dark, anyway.

We just had our latest sunrise of the year today: 7:25. Ain’t fun, but I survived.

Traveled to the Central Time Zone the day before DST from the Eastern Time Zone and I fear everything is going to be discombobulated tomorrow.
