I agree. Thom's incredibly annoying and makes people on the fence want to hate a 21-year old college student, but Tebow is tough as nails and is great for the sport.

I heard Thom note Tebow's myriad off-the-field accomplishments and ponder, "That's more than most of us did at 21." Seeing as Thom as a rich kid who belonged to the biggest meathead frat at OU (and admitted later he did next-to-nothing in journalism at school), that was probably a valid thought on his part.

Needless to say, I also hope Tebow leaves college now, so I don't have to hear announcers and read writers jock him, but I hope he finds his niche in the NFL. Belichick, who was kicking it with his cougar on TV last night, raved about him in SI and wondered how a team could design packages for him in the pros. While I hate the religious-preaching athlete, Tebow seems OK to me.
