Why would the Big East want them?

Because there are only 8 football playing members and the league wants at least one more and possibly (up to) 3 additional members.

 

Despite the recent news, its basketball program is on par if not better than many in the Big East. Also, it's football team would definitely add more credibility to the Big East football picture. Memphis should've left Conference USA when Louisville left.

 

Because when I think of the East, I think of Memphis.

 

And it is East of the Mississippi.

 

Not to mention Louisville, Cincinnati and Milwaukee (Marquette).

And when I think of the Southeast, I think of Arkansas.
And when I think of the Big Ten, I always think of 11 schools.

 

When I think of the Atlantic 10, I think of Atlantic City or Soddom by the sea.

 

Do you think you have to be from the East to get the "Sodom by the sea" line?

 

If Memphis jumps, I would love to see VCU try to slip into Conf-USA.

 

Oh the Big East would be crazy to take another team on.

I guess the Big East Tournament would then start on Monday to be finished by Saturday night?
