Is #3 Harvey Haddix? I seem to remember reading that as a footnote in one of the stories about him.

That Candelaria no-hitter was the first one I ever saw on TV. I'm pretty sure it was on Monday Night Baseball.

    Bill Madlock for no. 5?

I'm so tempted to look at Johnny Ray for #5.

I think Mad Dog is a better answer than Oliver.

And you can find the original broadcast -- it was an ABC Monday Night Baseball tilt with Al Michaels, Bob Gibson and Norm Cash -- if you know where to look.

One of Wichita's last games was at Arizona State. Don't know if it was the last one. (ON EDIT: Consider that my guess, though.)

Nope. It was just Cordova and Rincon. Mark Smith won it with a pinch-hit, 3-run home run in the bottom of the 10th inning off John Hudek. I was there that night. Rare big crowd at Three Rivers (fireworks night). Not many memorable nights for the Pirates since the early '90s, but that was one.

    2. Who was the final opponent of the Wichita State football team?

93Devil is going to be mad he didn't get this one:

    Arizona State

    Edit: Joe Rossi got me...
