Three Tennessee football players arrested for armed robbery

Might have been an airtight defense if Jackson hadn't been suspended for the Memphis game for (allegedly) failing a drug test.

 

Lane Kiffin thinks it's better to wear a Tennessee jersey and knock over a gas station than wear a South Carolina jersey and work at one.

 

On the plus side, at least these three know how they look in bright orange attire.

How do you allow these guys on a college campus, nevermind a football team (provided of course they did do what police say they did).


There was an article about Pahokee in USA Today Monday(?). Decent read. About how a struggling town finds its identity around its football team. Maybe someone should write a book....Maybe get a movie and TV series out of it.

As a minor aside (and I blame none of what I'm about to say on the child) parents should not give kids names like Nu'Keese.
It likely makes no sense and has no family tradition or anything like that.
I hate seeing names like this.
Again, the kid has/had nothing to do with what name they are given.
The parents, though, should try a little harder. Or maybe not try as hard.
I don't know, but this I'm really put off by this name trend that's swept through Americana in the past 20-30 years.
Just a pet peeve of mine.

One of the more reliable insider sources (Hubbs) is saying that charges are being dropped on Janzen Jackson, who will be suspended indefinitely.

The other two have been dismissed. Kiffin to say this in a presser later.
