The story said the police would pay to repair the house.

If the owner is charged with lying to the cops I wonder if they will still pay for the repairs though?

Auburn has added $10,000 to the reward pot. Montgomery mayor has added $5,000.

Auburn PD chief disputed the FBI report I posted above that stated the Montgomery cops raided the wrong house. Chief said the correct house was raided.

Now the MPD/APD say it WASN'T the wrong house. If it's not, did he pose as a SWAT member and come out?

Kind of surprised that this case has not drawn more national attention given that it was a college shooting.

The Duke alleged rape case went viral in a few hours.

There is quite a bit of news out there. The Sandusky thing is pretty much keeping the news outlets busy. Not to mention the dad who killed alleged molester.

Said Desmonte was a "pretty boy" and a "lover not a fighter".

Said shooting started when Phillips hit Desmonte "upside his head" with a Budweiser bottle.

 

Desmonte has quite the rap sheet, but that actually jibes with what the guy quoted in the AP story from Sunday said.
I think the guy's name was Terquorios (sp?) Vines. He said the fight started, Phillips hit someone over the head with the bottle, then the shooting started. Whether "Willie" read it there, heard it from Desmonte or what, is open to debate.
And it doesn't really help Desmonte. He might be able to claim self-defense if the only person he shot was Phillips. When you apparently start shooting indiscriminately and hit five other people, I'd like to think you'll get nailed for at least some of that.

 

Vines said his friend hit the shooter with a bottle but I don't recall seeing his friend named in the story.
